James Jones is an award-winning art director, designer and illustrator who freelances for publishers all over the world. He has worked at Orion, Vintage, and as Art Director at both Oneworld and Head of Zeus. AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts), Type Directors Club, Design Observer, the ABCD (The Academy of British Cover Design) and World Illustration Awards have all recognised his work.
James is also the illustrator of several picture books including The Perfect Fit (OUP) which was longlisted for the Klaus Flugge award and has now been translated into 11 languages, One More Try (OUP) and The Odd Fish (Farshore). When James isn’t illustrating or designing, he loves practicing kung fu, cold water swimming and coaches a local children’s football team.
