Horizon Handmade Weaving takes inspiration from the Cornish coast. Capturing the colours of the landscape in bands of colourful fabrics.
Claire Rowswell is an artist and interior designer living and working in Cornwall. The inspiration for her work comes from her love of the sea and spending time at her favourite beach in Perranporth.
Claire owns and runs Mollins Antis Interiors which is an interior design studio offering a range of bespoke interior design services, tailored specifically to meet personal requirements as well as specialising in bespoke soft furnishings, handsewn from their Cornish studios. Also ensuring she is as environmentally minded as possible Claire throws very little away which is where the idea for her weavings came from. Using remnants of designer fabric and turning them into textured art through a process she learnt when she was a child.
Claire loves to re-work Cornish landscapes in an abstract way through mixed media. Each piece is unique with intricate coloured threads worked into the weaved fabrics.
