Belinda Latimer is a multi-media Artist and Creative Mentor, based in Cornwall, having moved from Stoke-on-Trent.
Belinda’s work takes inspiration from colour, wildlife and the natural world. Her recent collection has taken the form of handmade wire sculptures inspired by the sea. Each piece is unique and has a character of its own.
The relationship between a piece of art and its owner is really important to Belinda. “It is a sensory and reactionary process that should constantly affect the viewer. It begins the minute that we have a connection with a piece of art and should never end. This, I hope, is what happens when people connect with my work.”
It is important to Belinda that she incorporates an understanding of personal Well Being, brought about by the creation of Art in all its forms. She believes that art should be for everyone, regardless of age, ability and place in society. An integral part of her business is spent creating and presenting Art Workshops for adults, business and children, from a well being and technical perspective.
