More Than I Needed Oil Painting captures the summer atmosphere of the Cornish coast. Featuring a bright sky as the waves roll in. Lorraine has played with adding gull details swooping in and out of the sky.
Lorraine Ward is an artist based on the beautiful North coast of Cornwall who gained her BA Hons Degree at St. Martins School of Art and has been passionate about art all her life. Lorraine now combines her passion for art with her love of the seashore. Working in oil on canvas her work reflects the emotions she experiences, from the tranquillity of a calm sea and its gentle rhythms to the exhilaration of storm waves crashing against the rocks. “Working in oil l am able to create soft velvety textures and gentle colour transitions highlighted with dynamic abstract areas.”
